What a weekend. We managed to cover everything from swimming lessons to sorting a birthday party out. In between that my eldest has made a shopping list because on Thursday night she is going to try and make Heston's chocolate pudding! Saturday mornings are always hectic. trying to get the girls through to the swimming baths for 08:30 is fun. We always make it but I wonder how. On Thursday my youngest will be six and she is counting down the number of sleeps until the big day. I just hope she is not disappointed when the day actually arrives. As we had to go through to the soft play and arrange things for Saturday, we decided to let them have a play while we read our Kindles and enjoyed a cup of coffee. All very civilised. If they could only sort out the screaming children and very small rug rats bumping into the chair, it would have been perfect. Church on Sunday morning involved a very thought provoking sermon. I came away with the thought that it would be good if everyone was given the opportunity to put their life in order; say what they thought of everyone and then move on. Also, everyone you spoke to accepted what you said and tried to change their life. An interesting thought. maybe one day!! When we got back the girls went out with their sledges and enjoyed two hours of fun. I am not sure if the neighbours appreciated the noise. One of the qualities of our children is that I don't have to keep going outside to check on them because noise travels through double glazing very well. I was about to start the ironing when my eldest suggested going through to the Cathedral and having a walk around the city. We had a very enjoyable time; as you can see from the photos we went on a scenic route. We finished off for a well deserved coffee. All in all, a very enjoyable weekend.
