Holiday Time-Nearly.

It is always a strange time at the end of term. Everyone goes on holiday - except me. I have another week. I am fortunate that I have company for the first two days; the back of Leanne's head! She will keep me going with stimulating conversation and plenty of cups of coffee.
This morning was interview day at work. The job contracts have finally settled down and and I was fortunate to be interviewed for a job within the new structure. My present job is not at risk but you have to try. Time will tell. The important thing is that it will be sorted before the new term starts so that we can get back to the important task of teaching.
I intend going off for a well earned break. We have booked a family cottage in Yorkshire and I am sure we will have a lovely week. My mother-in-law will be joining us. After that we are having a week at Edinburgh Festival It has become a tradition for us to go every year. The girls love going to the drama workshops and taking in the street theatre on the Royal Mile. A whole month off will be brilliant. During the break the college is undergoing major changes. I am sure that everything will be finished and running smoothly when we return but when I look around I can not help but be a little sceptical.
Tomorrow is dad's day. I have the girls and my mother-in-law for the whole day. The morning will involve swimming then we are planning a trip to change the television. We need to go bigger and the girls are trying to talk me into having a cinema in the house! The new one will not be that big but a larger screen will definitely be kinder on the eyes. It must be an age thing. Once it is in the living room I will post a photo.
